The Sutton Museum is celebrating
its 8th edition of Pumpkin'Art. The museum has been inviting students from
Sutton's Elementary School as well as all of Sutton's teenagers and adults to
participate in this annual fall activity since 2009.
For this year's edition the museum
is collaborating with the Social Pediatrics Community "Main dans la
main" of Brome-Missisquoi, in order to create an expanded event which will
take place from October 22nd to 31st, Halloween Eve. Inspired by the exhibit
"Mad Dog" Vachon, the theme for this event is "Wicked
Pumpkins"! The event will kick off at the Sutton Museum and then expand to
various other municipalities in the region.
This year we are hoping for the
participation of not only the students from Sutton Elementary, but from the
various primary and secondary schools, as well as all adults from
Brome-Missisquoi who would like to participate in the Pumpkin Decoration
Contest. The decorated pumpkins will be exhibited at the Sutton Museum for the
final two weekends of October, from 1:00 PM to 4:00 PM. Visitors to the museum
are encouraged to judge the decorated pumpkins from the different age
categories.
How to participate?
It's very simple. Just bring your masterpiece to the museum from Saturday, October 22nd, to Sunday, October 23rd, between 1:00 PM to 4:00 PM.
Participation is free!
4 categories:
- kids aged 5 and under

A green activity
The pumpkins will then be used to decorate the distribution points for information on CPSC Main dans la main in all participating cities of Brome-Missisquoi.
